Who Needs to Do 90-Day Reporting?
Anyone staying in Thailand on a non-tourist visa for longer than 90 consecutive days must file a 90-day notification. This includes holders of Non-OA retirement visa, Non-B work visa, Non-O marriage/family visa, LTR visa, and Thailand Elite.
Tourist visa and visa exemption entries do NOT require 90-day reporting — only long-stay visa holders.
Option 1: In Person at Phuket Immigration
Address: 474 Chaofah Road, Chalong, Phuket 83130
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–12:00pm and 1:00pm–4:30pm (closed weekends and public holidays)
Documents to bring:
- TM.47 form (available at the office, or download and fill in advance)
- Passport original + photocopy of main page and current visa/stamp
- Previous TM.47 receipt (from your last 90-day report)
- TM.30 (address notification — should already be on file)
Go in person if: this is your first 90-day report in Phuket, your address has changed, or online reporting is returning errors.
You can file up to 15 days before or 7 days after your due date without penalty. Arrive early — the queue at Chalong Immigration fills quickly. Wednesday and Thursday afternoons are typically the least busy times.
Option 2: Online Reporting (imm.immigration.go.th)
Online reporting is available via the Thai Immigration Online Notification system. In theory it is straightforward. In practice, the system has regular outages and the online status can be unclear.
Steps:
- Go to imm.immigration.go.th/nov/
- Log in or create an account
- Complete the TM.47 form online with your current address and visa details
- Submit and download/print your confirmation receipt
Keep the confirmation receipt — this serves as your proof of compliance. If the system is down (common), go in person or by post as backup.
Option 3: By Post
Mail your completed TM.47 form to Phuket Immigration at least 7 days before the due date. Include:
- Completed TM.47 form
- Copy of passport main page
- Copy of current visa stamp and last entry stamp
- Copy of previous 90-day report receipt
- Self-addressed stamped envelope (for receipt return)
Mail to: Phuket Immigration, 474 Chaofah Road, Chalong, Mueang Phuket, Phuket 83000
Postal 90-day reports can take 7–14 days for the receipt to arrive back. This option works well for expats who travel frequently and may not be in Phuket on their due date.
Penalties for Missing Your 90-Day Report
The fine for late 90-day reporting is 2,000 THB per occurrence. This is paid at the Immigration office. If you overstay your visa (different from missing a 90-day report), fines are 500 THB/day up to a maximum of 20,000 THB, plus potential blacklisting and detention.
Using a Visa Agent for 90-Day Reporting
Many Phuket-based visa agents offer 90-day reporting services for ฿500–1,500. If your time is worth more than the queue at Chalong, it is a reasonable investment. Ask for recommendations in the Phuket Expats or Rawai/Nai Harn Expats Facebook groups — agents change, so current reviews matter.
