What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special tracked URL. When you click it and complete a purchase (such as buying a health insurance policy or signing up for a money transfer service), we receive a small referral commission from the company. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go directly to their site.

Which types of products do we earn commissions on?

• Expat health insurance — We partner with providers offering international health insurance suitable for expats living in Phuket. Insurance is the highest-value affiliate category on this site. We only recommend plans that have been used by members of our team or community, and that work with major Phuket hospitals including Bangkok Hospital Phuket and Siriroj International Hospital.
• Money transfers (Wise) — We are an affiliate for Wise (formerly TransferWise). We recommend Wise because we use it ourselves for transferring money to Thailand. The product is genuinely excellent for expats.
• Visa agents — We refer readers to visa agents in Phuket. We have personally vetted or received positive community feedback on all agents we recommend.
• Real estate / property agents — For some property listings and agents in Phuket, we may receive a referral fee.
• International schools — We may receive referral fees from schools when a family enquires via our link.
• International movers — We may earn referral fees from moving companies that service Phuket relocations.

Our editorial independence policy

Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial content. We do not accept payment to write positive reviews, to rank a product higher than it deserves, or to suppress negative information. Every guide on this site reflects our genuine opinion based on personal experience, community feedback, and research.
